It’s too late for Crist to win senate seat in 2010. If he starts to think more clearly he will run in 2012 against Bill Nelson. He has been a big disappointment to conservatives, of late,
and he needs to hear our voice—loud and clear—TLC, too late Charlie. Letter to the governor;
Dear Governor Crist,
You will not have the conservative vote if you choose to run as an independent for several glaring reasons;
Previous history indicates you are likely to side with Democrats as often as republicans. That makes you seem indecisive or you are willing to sway whichever way the winds blow.
On Fox News, with Chris Wallace, you emphatically stated you would not run as an independent and would support the primary winner. I can send you the transcripts if you would like to see your position. If you decide to run as an independent or non-party candidate that makes your word—at best—questionable. In my opinion, it makes your word worthless.
Ostensibly you are a career politician and will do whatever you can to stay in power. Obviously you have lost sight of the responsibility of serving our country and moreover you have lost sight of conservative principles.
Independents consistently vote towards the middle…further indicating your lack of understanding conservative principles.
Further more, if you decide to leave the Republican Party there will be a backlash of angry conservatives that will more likely show up at your rallies with Rubio signs in hand. Your decision will also open up the flow of money to support Rubio.
My hope is you will gracefully step aside and wait for 2012. My hope is you will find your conservative values. My hope is you will not hand the seat to a democrat.
Should you choose not to run I would strongly support your run for Senator Nelson’s seat in 2012.
Thank you for your time,
- I would love to hear other opinions on this. Please take the time, even if you disagree.
- Also, is there a better politician for my Term Limits poster boy?
